ESTHER KEKO

I come from Loliondo-Engusaro-Sambui village.  I have both my parents as well as four sisters and three brothers.  My father has only one wife, who is my mother.  My parents are pastoralists and farmers.

I am the only one in our family who got an education.  My sister didn’t study due to family problems so my father decided she would get married.  My one brother looks after the cattle.  My younger sister did not get an education because my father didn’t want us to study.  My aunt helped me to study and when I finished standard seven the diwani of our village helped me to get a sponsor in Emusoi.  I studied pre-form one in 2006 and joined form one in 2007 at Enyorata Secondary School.  Later I shifted to Mairiva Secondary School because of health problems.  I am waiting to hear my results from form four exams and if I do well hope to complete my studies.
